Are YOU Ready to be a Mighty Bear?
At Johnston Elementary School, we use our Positive Behavior Support Program to teach students how to show Best Effort, Act Responsibly, Encourage Others, Show Respect, and be Safe at All Times.  Our students earn daily, weekly, and BIG school wide rewards when they show the BEARS expectations.
At our school, all students participate in clubs twice a month.  We have a variety of clubs, sponsored by all staff members, that include sports, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Global Education, Cursive, Puzzles, Art, Legos, and STEM. Clubs happen during the school day so all students can participate.
Each student gets to participate in Science, Engineering, and Math design challenges every week in our STEM Lab.  We also have robotics and coding to further students skills in being ready for their future jobs!
